GaiaLens is an applied AI and data consultancy. We design, build and deploy bespoke AI systems for organisations operating under regulatory scrutiny, with a particular depth of experience in financial services.

Founded in 2021 by two City, University of London data science graduates, GaiaLens began as an AI-powered sustainability analytics platform for institutional investors. That work gave us something unusual: several years of production experience extracting reliable, auditable data from unstructured documents at scale, under the scrutiny of investment, risk and compliance teams. Today we apply that engineering capability far more broadly — across document intelligence, data consolidation, regulatory reporting, risk monitoring and workflow automation.

We are consultancy-led rather than product-led. Engagements typically begin with a scoped discovery and a working pilot, then move into production deployment alongside the client’s own teams. Clients own the software we build outright and can white-label it. We are model-agnostic, selecting the underlying model per use case rather than defending a single vendor relationship, and we do not use client data to train our own models. GaiaLens holds ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials certification.

Relevant work includes a white-labelled analytics product for SIX Group (SIX Folio), a bilingual ESG chatbot and scorecard platform for CaixaBank, a large-scale document intelligence platform for a global financial institution, and claims data extraction for an insurance client. We work internationally across the UK and Europe, North America and Asia, with engagements ranging from around £20,000 to seven figures.

Everything we build is designed to be explainable: extractions link back to their source page, and decisions leave an audit trail that holds up in front of auditors and regulators.
