Insight Regulatory Consulting was set up by Lesley Kumar and Palvinder Gill in 2018 to provide clients with practical, pragmatic and effective compliance, risk and prudential regulatory advice based on over 50 years of combined experience as regulators and in-house experts in their fields.

Lesley is a senior compliance professional with over 25 years experience, the last 17 of which were at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). Lesley left BAML in March 2016 after 5 years as EMEA Head of Compliance which included responsibility for the full spectrum of wholesale investment banking products, the compliance functions throughout EMEA, Latin America and Canada and holding the prescribed responsibilities for Global Financial Crime Compliance. Lesley can assist clients in dealing with: governance, compliance and conduct issues such as: compliance and conduct risk frameworks and strategies; managing regulatory changes; SMCR issues; and regulatory coaching and mentoring senior managers.

Palvinder is a regulatory consultant with over 20 years of experience in the field of financial services regulation and risk management, including time as a policymaker at the Bank of England and Financial Services Authority; a regulatory consultant at Ernst & Young; and in-house regulatory capital adviser at Credit Suisse, Macquarie Group, Morgan Stanley, Nomura and Wells Fargo. Pal can assist clients on a broad range of areas including: prudential capital advisory; ICAAPs; ILAAPs; Recovery Plans; and Wind Down Plans.
