Complete payment processing
The product suite has been extended to enable banks and other financial institutions to process electronic payments in the most efficient way possible. This gives Sentenial the unique ability to fully process an electronic payment from end-to-end. At the same time the underlying design of all aspects of the service was updated to allow other organisations to deliver the services under their own branding.

Strategy of innovation
A key strategy for Sentenial is continuous investment in technology, development and product innovation. This approach has led to Sentenial leading the market in many arrears such as the automation of the direct debit process, open banking and the implementing of real-time payments.

Adding banking functionality
Political pressure to introduce competition and innovation into the payments and banking markets created an opportunity for Sentenial to obtain Authorised payment institution permissions from the FCA and later also from the ACPR. Trading under the Nuapay brand, the existing Sentenial infrastructure delivers real-time businesses current accounts integrated with intelligent payment engines and supporting access to all functionality.

Open banking
A rapidly growing sector within financial services is the adoption of open banking. This has created unprecedented opportunities for the development of a new open banking payment method.

Only regulated entities can provide open banking services and thus Nuapay’s licence has been extended to cover the provision of both account information and payment initiation services.

Sentenial currently leads the way in the development and implementation of new open banking based payment schemes that deliver an enhanced user experience, reduced processing cost and are fraud free by design.
