Real-time and historical commodity prices for valuation, charting and research

Supported metals, energy and agricultural series delivered to your application through REST and WebSocket

The SiftingIO Commodity Market Data API supplies real-time reference prices and historical bars for supported metals, energy and agricultural products. It is designed for financial applications that need to monitor commodities alongside other asset classes or analyse price movements over time.

Coverage includes gold and silver, oil and selected agricultural series such as corn, soybeans and wheat. Teams should check the supported instrument list for their intended implementation; the product is not a claim to cover every commodity or futures contract.

Current quotes are available through REST, and WebSocket connections deliver live reference-price updates. Historical OHLCV bars are queried separately over REST. Supported series offer more than 20 years of history, with the start date and interval availability depending on the instrument and dataset.

For wealth technology and research teams, this data can feed commodity watchlists, historical charts and multi-asset portfolio analysis. Developers retain control of their own calculations and presentation, while using documented identifiers and timestamps to connect the underlying observations.

The commodity product shares the platform's authentication and integration conventions. Public documentation, SDKs and historical exports help teams inspect the data and build a first integration. A free API account provides a starting point for evaluation. Commercial plans support business applications and customer-facing display under the applicable terms, with additional coverage requirements discussed directly with SiftingIO.
