Transparently began with just one aspect of accounting manipulation, earnings smoothing, employed by founder Hamish Macalister in a quantitative fund he was managing. Realising this idea was generating substantial interest, he sought the funding and support to build a much more comprehensive accounting manipulation detection system.

Working alongside co-founder Mauro Sauco, the first prototype was born in early 2022, with the final version entering the market in September of that year.

Fast forward to the present day, and Transparently now has an expanding team of RegTech experts, as well as a growing list of satisfied customers.
