After attending the annual Docupace Vision conference, Keel Point realized that many of their broker-dealer colleagues were using the Docupace software to streamline client onboarding and new account opening in ways that they hadn’t yet explored.
The team at Keel Point hadn’t utilized the digital workflows made available by Docupace. In fact, all documents at Keel Point’s seven locations were still being printed out and manually bundled together. As a result, their process still had many of the inefficiencies related to manual paperwork bundling, despite logging all documents digitally after the fact.
The whole process was, in short, not ideal. “About last year, we realized we weren’t using the system correctly,” says Scott Montes, Branch Office Supervisor at Keel Point. “So, we went back to the drawing board.” They reached out to the Docupace team with the hopes of really diving into their software, and getting the Keel Point back office up to speed with paperless client onboarding and new account opening.
Docupace led the charge by re-organizing Keel Point’s workflows into bundles, then digitizing the process to streamline compliant client transferring. Then, they provided hands-on training for office employees in five states to get them up to speed. The result? A reduction in NIGOs.
