As highlighted in our recent Top 10 WealthTech trends for 2026 article, 2026 could be the most impactful and far-reaching year to date in terms of the role of technology in and around the global wealth management sector. Much of that is because many in the industry have moved beyond discovery and learning towards the testing and implementation of various artificial intelligence (AI) tools and capabilities. Wealth management is now in the adoption phase of AI.
For The Wealth Mosaic (TWM), 2026 also feels like a pivotal year in our development. We have a lot to play for and a range of developments in motion or in the pipeline. We launched the business in September 2017 (way too early, way too soon, way too undercooked, with much to learn – as we’ve discovered as we’ve developed!). The need for TWM was clear, but we had to start from scratch, explaining what it is, how it would work, what the benefits would be, and so on. Eight years later, things are very different.
Here is where we are:
Establishing our new brand identity
Starting this month, our community will begin to see our updated brand in our documents, reports, and more. A new logo, graphics, and elements to support the evolution of TWM. The new branding aligns with our thinking around ecosystem, community, connectivity, and vendor directory, creating a central hub for the wealth management industry. The brand sits alongside the idea of ongoing industry change, with TWM positioned to support and facilitate adaptability, navigation, and a connected global wealth ecosystem.
Introducing Mosaic magazine
On top of our vendor directory, publishing has always been central to TWM. Firstly, in amplifying our members' content; secondly, in creating and publishing content for them; and thirdly, through our reports. As we evolve, Mosaic is the next iteration of the model: a magazine, published every other month to capture key industry developments, focus on core topics, profile leaders, businesses, themes, and more. For our vendor community, Mosaic is a flexible vehicle that aligns with the need for timeliness, flexibility, and distribution. Mosaic will also allow us to take TWM into new topic areas – investment management and products, jurisdictions, regulation, and more.
Look out for issue #1 in late February 2026.
A new report model: Insight Reports
Our report model is evolving too, with the launch of Insight Reports. Since we released our first report, the UK WealthTech Landscape Report 2019, our 30-plus reports so far have seen us act largely as the publisher. The content has come from our community. To an extent, the option for contributors to participate in these reports will still exist, but each Insight Report will be largely created, researched, and written by us.
We intend to focus on key industry topics, again covering themes, geographies and industry segments. In line for 2026, we have:
- Wealth Management 2026
- AI in Wealth 2026
- The Wealth Client 2026
- M&A in Wealth 2026
- Alternatives in Wealth 2026
- M&A in WealthTech 2026
Updated flagship events: our Live series
Our larger event series, The Wealth Mosaic Live (TWM Live), which has so far run in Switzerland (twice) and in the United States, will be a key pillar of our engagement with the market this year. With plans for Live events in Zurich, Switzerland, in London, United Kingdom, and at a resort in New Jersey, United States, our TWM Live events will host 125-200 attendees at each, seeking to cover the most relevant wealth management themes around business and technology.
Planned events are:
- The Wealth Mosaic Live 2026: Switzerland, June 2026
- The Wealth Mosaic Live 2026: UK, September 2026
- The Wealth Mosaic Live 2026: US, November 2026
Each Live will bring in a mix of executive attendees from the local wealth management community in each market, including large brands and smaller, local entities.
Participants can engage in the Live model in multiple ways, including multiple sponsorship options, panels, presentations, demos, workstreams, and attendance.
Market roundtables: our Hive events
Our smaller event model, topic-focused and built around invite-only audiences relevant to the topic. In 2026, we’re looking at hosting two Hive event series, those being:
- Running into reality – increasing the impact of technology within the buyer organisation
- Buy, build, rent 2026 – reviewing the status of the buy, build, or rent model
We are looking at running individual Hives for each topic in our core geographies: the US, the UK, Switzerland and APAC. Each Hive event has the capacity for up to three sponsors and will feature a co-branded, written output.
New website, directory interface and platform
Ah, the monster. The elephant in the room. Such is the size of this project for a small team that it is not something we can flip around quickly. When I’m talking about this with firms, mostly vendors, they tell me they know how hard it can be to design, build and launch a new website. I fully agree. But what they’re talking about is a relatively simple business and product overview website. However well-designed and impactful those sites are, TWM 2.0 is a monster in comparison. In truth, even if the industry does not know it or see it yet, our plan for TWM 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, and so on, is a platform. An industry resource, not a simple website.
Our journey since launch in 2017 has taught us a lot. What the market needs, what vendors need, why users engage, what types of users engage, where traffic arrives/stops/leaves, the industry’s themes, the tagging requirements for vendors, and so on. It’s a long, long list. Even just thinking about our core assets – 3,100-plus vendor profiles, their 6,000-plus solutions, and over 4,000 content and knowledge resources – these all need a new home that is easy to access and supports discovery and engagement.
TWM 2.0 is coming. The market needs it. This will be a big leap forward from where we are today.
Well, we’d better get on with it. No rest for the wicked. Our plans are ambitious, but the wealth management industry, our members, clients and users, don’t have time to wait. We look forward to showcasing the evolving TWM to our community through 2026.
