Artificial intelligence (AI) has moved beyond the exploratory phase for wealth management. Now we’re all aboard the AI train – but where is it going?

At AI in Wealth 2026: UK, held on 25 June 2026 in London, The Wealth Mosaic sought to answer that question by bringing together wealth management professionals, technology providers and industry specialists to examine where the market stands today – and where it is heading next.

Across keynote presentations, technology demonstrations, a client case study and an expert panel discussion, the conversation was no longer about whether firms should adopt AI, but how they can deploy it effectively, responsibly, and at scale.

Engage, deliver, succeed

The morning opened as The Wealth Mosaic’s founder Stephen Wall set the stage for the day’s discussions with a view on how AI technology is evolving and adapting to the needs of wealth management, and how the industry is adapting to the growing expectation that firms move from experimentation towards operational deployment.

In a keynote address, Plurimi CIO Patrick Armstrong shifted attention then shifted to AI’s impact on investment management, explaining how AI is beginning to reshape portfolio construction, stock selection and risk assessment. Rather than replacing investment expertise, AI is increasingly being viewed as a tool capable of enhancing decision-making by processing larger volumes of information, identifying patterns more quickly and supporting portfolio managers with richer insights.

In a subsequent panel discussion, industry experts – including Patrimeum CEO & Founder Soufiane Hamri, governr Founder Rajen Madan, LexisNexis Risk SolutionsAmit Patel, Coleman Wealth’s Global Head of Digital Assets & AI Strategy Reeves Knyght, Add Velocity Founder Nora Balla, and Head of Rothko Investment Strategies Dan Philps – examined the current state of AI adoption across the UK wealth management sector.

The discussion explored where firms are directing investment, the business drivers accelerating adoption and the practical challenges that continue to slow implementation. Topics ranged from organisational readiness and data foundations to governance, regulation, and measuring return on investment (ROI).

The panel also looked beyond today's deployments, considering how AI infrastructure, business processes and client expectations are likely to evolve over the next three years. Rather than focusing solely on technology, panellists explored the importance of strategy, execution, and organisational change as the foundations for successful AI adoption.

The event also highlighted individual technology solutions through a pair of technology demonstrations – from Alessandro Tonchia, Head of Strategy at InvestCloud and Mohit Sachdeva and Sandeep Agarwal, Co-Founders of WealthIQ – that showcased how AI is already being applied across different areas of wealth management.

Attendees also heard from Harry Kyprianou, Head of Product at wealth management AI operating system WealthAi and Jeremy Steinson, Director of Patronus Partners, who delivered a case study on AI partnerships in wealth management. Kyprianou and Steinson explored how the two companies are using an AI-native operating system to replace fragmented wealth management workflows, beginning with compliance before expanding across operations to improve efficiency, resilience, and client intelligence.

Although questions remain around governance, integration, and scaling deployments, the industry's attention is increasingly focused on execution rather than experimentation. Success will depend not simply on adopting AI technologies, but on combining them with robust data, clear governance, practical use cases, and organisational commitment.
