29 September 2026 | 8.30am–1.30pm | Eight Members Club, Moorgate, London

The Wealth Mosaic is bringing together participants from across the UK's Model Portfolio Service (MPS) ecosystem for UK MPS: Talking Technology, a dedicated industry event to examine the role technology will play in the future development of this rapidly growing market.

This event forms part of The Wealth Mosaic's broader UK MPS Project, a long-term initiative from The Wealth Mosaic, developed in collaboration with Investment & Wealth Management Consultants (IAWMC) and WealthTech Strategy Partners (WTS). The UK MPS Project combines research, reports, events, industry engagement, and knowledge resources designed to support understanding and development of the UK MPS marketplace.

As MPS continues to evolve, the technology infrastructure supporting the model will increasingly influence how efficiently firms operate, how easily propositions can scale and how effectively the different parts of the ecosystem can connect.

UK MPS: Talking Technology will put these questions at the heart of the conversation.

Technology as an enabler of the next phase of MPS growth
The UK's MPS market has established itself as an increasingly important part of the wealth management landscape, bringing together clients, advisers, discretionary fund managers (DFMs), asset managers, and platforms. But as the market grows and propositions become more sophisticated, so does the operational complexity involved in creating, maintaining, distributing and managing them.

Many processes continue to rely on fragmented systems, manual intervention and limited interoperability. Can the technology supporting MPS keep pace with the market's growth?

The MPS model sits at the intersection of investment manufacturing and distribution, connecting asset managers and DFMs with platforms, advisers, and ultimately end clients.

This creates significant opportunities for technology to improve how the model operates. Better connectivity, automation, data management, and workflow capabilities could reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and make it easier for firms to manage increasingly complex propositions at scale.

Yet the technology landscape also has its limitations.

UK MPS: Talking Technology will explore where technology is delivering value today, where existing capabilities fall short, and where further innovation is required.

Key areas of discussion will include:

  • The technology landscape today – what tools, capabilities, and infrastructure currently support UK MPS?
  • Strengths and weaknesses – where is existing technology delivering value, and where are firms encountering limitations?
  • Areas requiring further innovation – what technology and connectivity gaps could constrain efficiency and scalability?
  • The future of MPS technology – what capabilities will be needed to support the market's continued development?

The discussion will consider technology across the wider MPS ecosystem and the interconnected roles of clients, advisers, asset managers, DFMs, and platforms.

From technology landscape to technology in action
The morning will combine industry insight with practical examples of technology in use.

The programme will feature keynote presentations, an executive panel discussion, technology demonstrations, practical use cases, and networking, giving attendees the opportunity to explore the challenges facing the market and see how technology is being applied to address them.

The focus will therefore be on more than what technology could do for MPS. The event will consider what technology is doing today – and what needs to change for it to support the market's next stage of growth.

Join the conversation
Taking place on 29 September 2026 from 8.30am to 1.30pm at Eight Members Club, 1 Dysart Street, London EC2A 2BX, the event is designed for participants across the UK MPS marketplace.

Attendance is free for advisers and DFMs, while ticket options are available for technology providers, consultants and other market participants.

If you are involved in the development, delivery or technology supporting UK MPS, this is an opportunity to hear perspectives from across the ecosystem, see technology in action and contribute to the discussion about what the market needs next.
