The Wealth Mosaic and Communify are bringing together industry expertise for a special WealthTech Talks webinar on 10 September, exploring what the FCA’s new Consumer Composite Investments (CCI) regime means for product information, investor engagement, and the design of the experience around it.
Shaping the environment: Behavioural science, engagement, and the new UK regulatory mandate takes place at 11:00am BST on 10 September and will run for 45 minutes, with Sam Shuff, Head of Product EMEA at Communify, joining The Wealth Mosaic’s founder Stephen Wall for a practical discussion aimed at firms preparing for the changes ahead.
A conversation brought forward because the questions are already here
This is a popup webinar — and there is a reason for that. Over recent weeks, The Wealth Mosaic has been hearing the same questions from UK firms about CCI – what needs to change, how should product information be designed when there is no longer a prescribed disclosure template, and what needs to sit underneath the experience for compliance teams to approve it?
There’s clearly an important conversation to be had about all these topics so firms can approach CCI with confidence. We have decided to have that conversation now.
CCI implementation may still be ahead, but the questions firms need to answer are already being asked. The session will explore what organisations can be thinking about and putting in place now, including solutions already in production.
From compliance document to investor experience
The removal of the FCA’s disclosure template changes the nature of the challenge. The requirement is no longer simply about populating a prescribed document. It raises questions about how investors understand, engage with, and act on the information they are shown.
The webinar will explore the behavioural science behind that challenge – including the role of design, engagement, decision theory, and data science. It will also examine behavioural principles reflected in the new rules – including anchoring, information overload and prospect theory.
What sits underneath matters too
For firms, the question is not only what investors see. It is how the information is produced, controlled, approved, and maintained.
The discussion will look at the data foundation needed to support CCI – including controlled and verified product data, traceability, approval, versioning, and audit trails.
For manufacturers, this means considering how one trusted knowledge base can support product disclosure and digital experiences together. For distributors, it means exploring what can be built around a product summary they cannot change — from clearer explanations and interactive experiences to search, comparison and intelligent research.
What will firms take away?
The session will focus on practical questions, including:
- Why the FCA removed the disclosure template and what that means for UK retail investing
- How behavioural principles can improve comprehension and engagement
- How product information can extend beyond the PDF
- What needs to sit underneath the experience for compliance teams to sign it off
- Examples of client implementations already in production, including a pipeline generating more than 44,000 investor reports per quarter
- Where firms should start and which components can already be deployed rather than built from scratch
The webinar is aimed particularly at asset managers, fund groups, structured product issuers, insurers, platforms, online brokerages, D2C propositions, advisory businesses, and wealth firms, as well as product, distribution, digital, operations, and data leaders.
