In April, The Wealth Mosaic launched its new quarterly magazine Mosaic. In that first issue, Mosaic I: Spring 2026 edition, we set out to explore the forces resahping wealth management through a combination of research, executive insight, and practical analysis.
Three months later, as we put the final touches to Mosaic II: Summer 2026 edition, many of the themes we identified have not only endured but matured. If Mosaic I was about recognising the indsutry’s direction of travel, Mosaic II will demonstrate the speed at which that journey is accelerating.
Artificial intelligence
One of the clearest examples is artificial intelligence (AI). In Mosaic I, contributors consistently argued that AI’s value would depend less on the models themselves than on the quality firms’ data, platforms, and operating processes. In interviews with Navos Technologies and Eton Solutions, and through a featured article contributed by fincite, it became clear that AI would reward firms that had already invested in modernising their infrastructure.
Three months on, Mosaic II is set to show how the conversation has evolved again, as the industry increasingly focuses on shifting from experimentation to execution, with firms increasingly asking how AI can improve adviser productivity, operational efficiency, and commercial performance rather than simply showcasing new capabilities.
Private markets
Private markets formed the other major centrepiece of Mosaic I. We examined the structural forces expanding access to alternative investments while highlighting the operational, regulatory, and liquidity challenges that accompanied their growth. Those questions have become even more relevant over the past quarter. Mosaic II will continue this exploration – including how renewed scrutiny of liquidity management has reinforced the importance of product design, investor suitability, and operational discipline as private-market investing continues its journey into mainstream wealth management.
Operational transformation
Operational excellence also emerged as a recurring theme throughout Mosaic I. Whether discussing client onboarding, revenue management, or technology architecture, contributors consistently argued that competitive advantage increasingly comes from integrating data, simplifying workflows, and eliminating unnecessary friction.
Mosaic I’s interview with PureFacts’ President Pete Hess illustrated how revenue management is evolving into a strategic capability, deepening a special research project conducted with PureFacts earlier in the year. Our client onboarding feature, contributed by Wealth Dynamix, demonstrated that improving client experience and strengthening compliance are complementary rather than competing objectives. These themes remain central as firms seek to convert years of technology investment into measurable business outcomes.
Technology amplifying the human
A final enduring lesson from Mosaic I is that technology is amplifying rather than replacing human expertise. Across interviews with wealth managers, technology providers, and industry leaders, innovation was consistently presented as a means of strengthening judgement, relationships, and decision-making rather than automating them away.
That conclusion has only been reinforced over the past three months. As explored in Mosaic II, the rapid advance of AI has paradoxically strengthened appreciation for the uniquely human aspects of wealth management: trust, behavioural coaching, complex family dynamics, and long-term strategic advice.
As we prepare to publish Mosaic II, readers will find these conversations taken several steps further. The Summer 2026 edition explores how wealth management is moving decisively from transformation to execution, examines the growing strategic influence of family offices as global investors, revisits private markets through the lens of liquidity and governance, and considers why the future of advice is likely to be increasingly hybrid rather than fully automated.
Alongside new executive interviews, market analysis and our regular news and regulatory coverage, Mosaic II is nearly ready to take up the baton and continue the mission established by its predecessor: providing thoughtful, global insight into the ideas, technologies, and business models shaping the future of wealth management.
