Earlier this year in Zürich, Switzerland, we interviewed Jamie Vrihof-Droese, Managing Partner at WHVP at our Swiss WealthTech Live 2024 conference.
This all day event provided valuable insights into all things WealthTech in and around the Swiss and international wealth management sectors. The extensive discussions and debate covered the most pressing topics of the moment, while engaging market participants from private banks, cantonal banks, external asset managers, family offices, technology vendors, consultants, and more who shared their views, experiences and vision for the future.
We caught up with Jamie during the event and talked with her about digitisation in wealth management, and why it is paramount to focus on the end-client and their needs.
“It’s essential to always start with the end client in mind – a specific persona”, Jamie underlines.
With an ever increasing number of FinTech and WealthTech firms gaining licenses to operate, the ability of the ecosystem that is made up of external asset managers, banks and WealthTech providers to come together in a way that adds benefit and value to the ultimate end-client is increasingly important. Digitalisation facilitates this, with the potential to make delivery of services more efficient for the end-client, but also, more cost-efficient for the user.
Jamie continues: “A clear focus on the end-client in the context of digitalisation remains paramount. Digitalisation as a standalone activity adds little value – but with a specific persona or end-client in mind, it can be very powerful in delivering services that are highly relevant and personalised.”
